Room: Room 3A

The Research Impact Special Interest Group is a lively and active group, and has been a popular session at previous conferences. This session will provide an opportunity to meet new colleagues and share good practice between those working in knowledge exchange and impact. We will provide space for and facilitate discussion across a wide range of policy and practice areas, and we will encourage attendees to suggest their own topics before (via the Impact SIG email list) and at the event to ensure we cover the current policy issues. The session will also provide a space for discussion of the various roles associated with knowledge exchange and impact, how they are changing and growing, the skills required for these roles, and what effect this has on our professional identity. This will be a friendly and interactive session that is responsive to the changing policy agenda and the needs of the research impact community.
