Knowledge exchange in the Creative Economy is often associated with large funded projects, but there is a ‘hidden story’ of academic and research-student interactions that remains unreported and under-exploited. In a project funded by the AHRC (‘The Hidden Story’), University Alliance institutions have worked together to shine light on these activities by utilising new big data techniques to capture evidence of this engagement and visualising the impact through interactive maps. This session will be of interest to university leadership focused on REF metrics and to professional staff interested in examples of best practice for engaging with different sectors of the Creative Economy.
Key Learning Points:
- New methodologies for capturing data on university knowledge exchange
- New methods for visualising knowledge exhange in regions
- Insights into the engagement and impact of University Alliance members in their regions * Best practices for engaging with different sectors of the Creative Economy
