Room: Norfolk

When did the UK’s seven research councils officially form? Can you name two of the original keys of the EU’s Responsible Research and Innovation agenda? What is the gender balance across UK based Principal Investigators?    In an increasingly busy research environment, it is often the case that big messages and key facts get lost in the mix, even though citing or referencing in the research support process can be highly beneficial. In this highly interactive session, we’ll be using a multiple choice quiz to give delegates a chance to impress their colleagues with their knowledge in areas including research policy, intellectual property, impact and engagement, training and equality.      Research ‘funding’ will be awarded throughout the quiz with the chance for the winning team to gamble for the ultimate accolade of 2016 Annual Conference ‘ARMA Swots”.    Of course, there’s always a serious side too, and in this session we’ll be summarising the anonymised results from the quiz automatically, forming useful data for further appraisal of those areas of research support that may have gone under the radar. This potentially might help influence areas for attention within the ARMA Professional Development Framework.
