This session will focus on the influence that research into RMA has demonstrated within institutions and government policy-making. The session begins with short presentations from Catriona Manville on the areas for consultation and policy change that has resulted from the evaluation of the REF process, conducted by RAND Europe, and others; and Alicen Nickson, Deputy Director of Research at Brunel University on new managerialism and the influence this can have at an institutional level.
