The ARMA Annual Conference promotes excellence in research management and administration. Members from across the UK and around the globe will hear the very latest views from a range of outstanding speakers and share best practice in the profession through a mix of plenary sessions, interactive workshops and networking opportunities. With the added attraction of a comprehensive gathering of exhibitors, not to mention the poster exhibition, the Conference is a great opportunity for ARMA members, and those thinking about joining, to participate in a wide range of activities designed along themes that reflect ARMA’s professional development framework.
2019 signals a period of significant change – within the research landscape and further afield – and we will all be navigating uncharted waters. The 2019 Conference seeks to find the positives amidst all this uncertainty. We’ll explore how we thrive and prosper on a personal, and institutional, level, as well as nationally and internationally: coping in this climate of change, discovering the opportunities, reaching out to maintain and build new partnerships. Universities are traditionally resilient institutions and this Conference will be about ensuring that resilience is alive and well in their research management operations.
We are looking forward to welcoming around 600 research leaders, managers and administrators, representing a significant proportion of the UK’s universities and research institutes. Building on the success of the INORMS International Congress we had the privilege of hosting in Edinburgh last year, we also anticipate a significant delegation from our sister associations from around the world. Delegates will have the shared goal of supporting outstanding researchers to deliver world-class research.
