Travel to Birmingham

The International Convention Centre Birmingham (ICC) is located at 8 Centenary Square, Birmingham, B1 2EA, in the heart of Birmingham city centre. The venue is easily accessible by public transport, car, taxi, and on foot, with clear signage and staff available to assist delegates on arrival.

Bus & Tram

The ICC is well served by Birmingham’s extensive public transport network. The West Midlands Metro has a stop at Centenary Square, directly outside the ICC, providing convenient connections across Birmingham and towards Wolverhampton.

Local bus services operate throughout the city centre and wider West Midlands, with stops within easy walking distance of the venue. Delegates should check local services and timetables ahead of their journey, particularly during periods of road or transport works.

Taxi

Taxis and private hire vehicles provide convenient access to the ICC, with the venue located centrally within Birmingham’s Westside district. Delegates arriving by taxi should use the venue’s main address, 8 Centenary Square, Birmingham, B1 2EA, and follow local signage for the appropriate drop-off point.

Taxis are also readily available throughout Birmingham city centre, including around the main railway stations.

Train

Birmingham is served by three city-centre railway stations, all within a short walk of the ICC, with Birmingham New Street being the closest.

• Birmingham New Street: The main station and the closest major rail connection to the ICC. The venue is approximately a 15-minute walk away. Follow signs towards Victoria Square and Centenary Square, passing the Library of Birmingham and Rep Theatre.

• Birmingham Moor Street: Approximately a 10-minute walk from the ICC, with regular services to destinations including London Marylebone, Oxford, and Stratford-upon-Avon.

• Birmingham Snow Hill: Also around a 10-minute walk from the venue, providing services to destinations including Worcester, Solihull, and Wolverhampton.

The ICC provides dedicated walking route information from Birmingham New Street, including both a quick and scenic route to the venue.

By Car

Birmingham is at the heart of the UK motorway network, with the ICC easily accessible from the M6, M5 and M42. There are thousands of parking spaces close to the venue, with the nearest parking available at the neighbouring Utilita Arena Birmingham on King Edward’s Road.

Please note that the ICC and associated visitor car parks are located within Birmingham’s Clean Air Zone. Charges may apply to vehicles that do not meet the required emissions standards, so delegates travelling by car are advised to check their vehicle’s eligibility before travelling.

On Foot

The ICC is centrally located in Birmingham and is within easy walking distance of the city’s main railway stations, hotels, restaurants, bars, and attractions.

From Birmingham New Street, delegates can walk towards Victoria Square and Centenary Square, following signs for the ICC. The route passes some of Birmingham’s key landmarks, including the Library of Birmingham and Birmingham Rep.

Accessibility

The ICC is committed to providing an accessible experience for all visitors. The venue is accessible to wheelchair users via ramps and lifts, with tactile signage fitted in the majority of lifts. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available throughout the venue, and selected halls have induction loop systems for visitors with hearing impairments. Assistance dogs are also welcome.

Accessible parking and Blue Badge spaces are available at the neighbouring Utilita Arena Birmingham car park. Delegates requiring assistance are encouraged to contact the venue team in advance so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
