Travel Information - Getting to Harrogate
Harrogate is well connected by an extensive network of roads and rail services, making it easy to travel to the town from across the UK. The town’s manageable size makes exploring straightforward, whether on foot or by local transport. Regular and affordable bus services operate from nearby cities such as Leeds and York to Harrogate each day. Most buses to Harrogate arrive at the Harrogate Bus Station, conveniently located in the town centre on Station Parade.
By Plane
Harrogate is conveniently served by Leeds Bradford Airport, one of the UK’s busiest regional airports, with new routes being added regularly. The Harrogate Convention Centre benefits from a central location in the town and is just 20km (12 miles) from Leeds Bradford Airport.

By Bus
Harrogate’s main bus terminal is located on Station Parade in the town centre, offering connections to destinations across the UK. For long-distance routes, visit National Express or Megabus. For local services, check Transdev (The Harrogate Bus Company).
By Train
Harrogate is served by three railway stations, with regular services connecting to Leeds, York, and beyond. For more information, check National Rail or Trainline:

Harrogate Station: Located in the town centre, just a short walk from the Harrogate Convention Centre, with direct services to Leeds and York.

Hornbeam Park Station: Around 1.5 miles from the town centre, convenient for southern access.

Starbeck Station: About 2 miles from the town centre, offering connections towards Knaresborough and York.

Travel Information - Getting to the HCC
The Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC) is our conference venue. The main entrance is located on King’s Road, right in the centre of town. For ARMA, we will be using the King’s Road entrance. There will be signage and staff to guide you.

Bus
Harrogate Bus Station on Station Parade is less than a 10-minute walk from the HCC, with regular services connecting Harrogate to Leeds, York, Ripon, and other nearby towns. Buses are operated mainly by Transdev (The Harrogate Bus Company), and tickets can be purchased via contactless payment, mobile app, or cash (exact change recommended).
All Harrogate Bus Company vehicles are low-floor and accessible, with:

Taxi
The HCC has a designated drop-off and pick-up point directly outside the venue on King’s Road, making arrival by taxi straightforward. Harrogate’s main taxi rank is at the nearby railway station (about a 5-minute walk).

Train
Harrogate Railway Station is the closest station, less than a 10-minute walk from the HCC. The station has step-free access to all platforms and offers frequent services to Leeds (for connections to Manchester and London) and York (for connections to Newcastle, Edinburgh, and London).
Other nearby stations include Hornbeam Park and Starbeck, both a short distance from the town centre.

On Foot
The HCC is centrally located and easy to reach on foot from most hotels and transport links in Harrogate. Approaches from the railway station and bus station are step-free with level pavements, making the walk accessible for all attendees.
