The Annual Conference Gala Dinner

In the spirit of our Conference theme, let your hair down and join us for an evening of excellent locally-sourced food, fine wine and grand company. Over a 3-course dinner, experience the city’s rich culture as we spend the evening in The Belfast Cathedral and put on vibrant local entertainment.

The Dinner Menu

The Belfast Jazz and Swing Orchestra

We will be joined by the The Belfast Jazz and Swing Orchestra for our evening entertainment! The Orchestra is dedicated to the performance and encouragement of Big Band swing and the jazz music of such composers as Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Glen Millar etc.

Here’s a clip of the kind of moves we’re expecting on the dance floor…

We will also use the evening’s festivities to present ARMA’s Carter Award for Outstanding Contribution to Research Management and Administration to our nomination of choice. The Award recognises an individual whose contributions to research management and administration are of such significance and/or span a significant part of a career that special recognition is warranted.

The Belfast Cathedral

First laid in 1899, the Romanesque style Cathedral has continued to grow over the last 100 years and features breath-taking mosaics by the sisters Gertrude and Margaret Martin. The Cathedral is still open for communion to this day and makes a great day trip destination that’s rich with Architectural history.
