David joined the UKRI Strategy Coordination Unit in July 2018 and his portfolio focuses on cross-cutting matters relevant to the question of “reasonable balance” within the dual support system. The Strategy Coordination Unit is responsible for cross-cutting policy areas relevant to UKRI remit including the Industrial Strategy, Talent, Commercialisation, Place, and the push to 2.4%. Prior to joining UKRI, David worked for nearly six years at the Natural Environment Research Council, predominantly within its Research Careers team.
