Aygen works as Research Development Manager at the LSE. She is an expert facilitator for interdisciplinary and collaborative research projects; an independent expert evaluator for EC grants; and an experienced professional on research bidding to public bodies. At LSE, she focuses on increasing research bidding activity by: following research policy landscape in the UK/Europe; encouraging strategic funding plans for departments; developing project ideas and proposals; and delivering training on grant winning. Aygen has background in political science and innovation; and interested in research funding within a wider context of research and innovation policy landscape.
