Equality, Diversity and Inclusion: How to Engage, Embed and Enable Inclusive Administrative Support Services and Leadership in Higher Education
This interactive and engaging workshop is open and appropriate for all conference delegates. The session will aim to raise awareness of how embedding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is demonstrably key to building resilient research management environments. Across Higher Education Institutions (HEI’s), there is a growing recognition that we all have a responsibility for creating inclusive working cultures and environments. During this interactive and engaging workshop we will look at some of the ‘modern day’ challenges of working in an increasingly globalised research setting and the importance of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in providing professional and impactful services. Looking at individuals, teams and institutions as key enablers and drivers of embedding cultural change. There will be opportunities to explore and discuss various strategies and approaches. Delegates will be encouraged to think about practical and strategic actions and activities they can take, promote and adopt, in order to drive changes in behaviours, values and practice in their own work environments and beyond.
