Behind the curtain at REF

Date & Time:

Room:

Ever wondered how the REF Guidance on Submission gets produced? Who reads the responses to consultations and how do comments get built in to any changes, or why were some not included? What happens to REF submissions, once an institution hits the send button?  Do outputs sent to the REF warehouse ever get read? This session is an opportunity to hear about the management and administration that goes on behind the scenes, from the REF Manager and previous members of the Panel Secretariat. It is not intended to answer specific questions on the guidance (the REG SIG meeting is the event for this), but will be an opportunity to bust some of those myths surrounding REF.
