Sapna is Head of Research Contracts at University of Nottingham. Sapna began her career at a top tier commercial law firm in Scotland. She was seconded and eventually moved to the University of Glasgow research contracts team. She joined Nottingham in 2013, taking up the post of Head of Research Contracts in 2015. Sapna is the ARMA Champion for the Research Contracts Special Interest Group. She has hosted the SIG meeting at the ARMA Annual Conference since 2016 and has been involved in various initiatives to improve resources and collaboration across the sector including the revision of the Brunswick templates, the Russell Group Contracts Leads Workshop and the development of the Research Contracts SIG Resources page.
The Research Contracts Special Interest Group session will centre around Brexit and its implications for Research Contracts. It will cover the practical implications (i.e. increased volume due to changes in staff and projects) and the legal implications (e.g. changes in IP law and data protection law).
