Lita joined the HE sector in 1993 following 9 years working across the public and private sector in areas as diverse as welfare, financial services and manufacturing. Lita began her HE career at Manchester Metropolitan University supporting research and commercial services. She continued her career at UMIST working on a range of projects covering research, technology transfer and regional development before moving to the University of Manchester in 2002 working across business engagement, volunteering and public engagement. She has been the Head of Research Services since 2011, overseeing a restructure of the devolved Research Services, leading the Research Office team supporting the last REF and implementation of Pure. Lita is currently Chair of the UKRI Research Organisations Consultation Group (ROCG) and has previously held an ARMA Directorship.
