Simon Gray has worked at the University of Bristol for 13 years. He is currently Head of Research Development, responsible for facilitating growth in research volume for the University. He is a Senior User on the university’s Award Management systems project and was interim Project Sponsor for six months. Simon has a PhD in Microbiology from King’s College London, carried out postdoctoral research at the NERC Institute of Terrestrial Ecology Merlewood, and spent 8 years as Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at the then University of Luton. He has also worked as a consultant microbiologist in the area of environmental monitoring.
