Martina Savio joined the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in 2015 as Research Information Manager.  Ms Savio oversees LSTM’s Research Management System, LSTM Research Committee and supports the REF Coordinator in the preparation for REF2021.  She is also responsible for coordination of IATI Fraud & Transparency requirements for DFID-funded project.  Prior to joining LSTM, Martina served as a Research Support Officer at the University of Liverpool where she coordinated financial and non-financial aspects of research projects throughout their lifecycle for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science and Mathematical Sciences.  Originally from Italy, Ms Savio has a BA in International Development & Cooperation and an MPhil in Peace & Conflict Transformation.  She has served as an advocate for child protection in relation to Child Labour and working conditions and has worked overseas in Ecuador, Cameroon, Cambodia and the Democratic Republic of Congo working for International NGOs, as well as UN Agencies (UNICEF and ILO).
