Mark has been Director of the Joint Research and Enterprise Office (JREO) at St George’s, University of London and St George’s University Hospitals NHS Trust since October 2016, leading both the JREO and Clinical Research Facility. Mark is responsible for all aspects of research and enterprise support to the university and NHS Trust, including grants and contracts bids and negotiation, commercialisation of intellectual property, financial management and research governance. Mark has 15 years’ experience of working in university management and administration, both specialising in research management and working more broadly. Mark was Division Manager for Surgery & Interventional Science at UCL from 2012 to 2016, managing research for the Division, along with teaching, estates, communications, finance and HR. For the previous 11 years Mark held a variety of roles in the Joint research Office and Research Services at Imperial College, including Head of Grants and Contracts, Research Administrator and Contracts Manager.
