I am the Head of Research Strategy & Academic Operations in the Institute of Educational Technology at the Open University, I have operational responsibility for all activity within institute that includes Academic Professional Development and the Learning and Teaching Technologies development. I am particularly interested in making the connection across our research activities and implementing them into the university’s teaching activity. I’ve been active in delivering research projects and outputs and have several publications. I’m a PRINCE2 and MSP practitioner and hold a Post-Graduate certificate in Business management. I have a MA from the Royal College of Art where I studied ceramics and glass and I was the Wedgwood Scholar. I’ve been awarded two OU teaching awards. The first one was for developing and implementing a portfolio-based assessment to support reflective development, scholarly presentation and accreditation of professional experience; the second was for innovation and excellence in blended delivery of staff development.
The Post Award Special Interest Group (SIG) was established in September 2015 and incorporates the previous TRAC and fEC SIG.
