Working in the Research Futures team Tamsin manages Jisc’s work on Research Information Management.  Prior to Jisc she spent 10 years working as a researcher and then 12 years in research management, working at both in departmental support and the central research office.

Joining the dots: Getting more out of our current research information infrastructure

The UK research information management landscape is highly complex. HEIs manage their research information in systems ranging from basic spreadsheets / repositories to integrated commercial CRIS systems, with or without a separate repository. Other stakeholders (government, funders and publishers) employ an equally diverse range. As a result, the UK has a network of ‘information islands’
