Peter previously worked in both the Domestic and International Banking sectors for 7 years. He then spent just over 9 year at the Research Office at the University of Leicester, where his responsibilities ranged from the negotiation of contractual terms, provision of pre-award costing and pricing advice, through to post-award financial administration. He also had specific responsibility for all matters relating to EU funding. Since July 1999, Peter established the central Research Office at Loughborough University, of which he is the Director with aim of growing and managing the University’s research with a higher strategic profile. The Office has been responsible for the co-ordination and submission into three Research Assessment/Excellence submissions in: 2001, 2008 and 2014. It also provides comprehensive support for all pre-award and related services for all externally funded research and as well as for the University’s six inter-disciplinary Research Challenges, as well as for providing administrative support for the ethics and governance for research projects. Peter is previous Executive Committee member and Chair of ARMA and was the inaugural President of the International Section of SRA International in 2011-12 as well as being an Executive Committee member of the Section from 2011 to 2014.
