Jen Scott is Development Coordinator in the Public Engagement with Research Unit at the University of Aberdeen, where a major part of her role involves research grant support, working with academics to develop ways to bring their research to a wider audience, and to develop their pathways to impact. Jen has worked in higher education for eight years, with previous roles in the research office and College of Physical Sciences. Jen is an Engineer by background, and worked with industry for six years. However her passion for education and research drew her back to the University sector where she became involved in public engagement. This encouraged a move to the public engagement with research unit where her interests are in developing new opportunities and working with academics to embed public engagement in their research projects.
