Andrew is the Senior Knowledge Exchange Manager at the University of Bristol and supports knowledge exchange and knowledge transfer opportunities from all funding agencies across all University Faculties. Recent examples include our local REACT Hub funded by AHRC, ESRC’s Knowledge Exchange Opportunities, KTPs in Policy Studies, Aerospace and Chemistry, the EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account and similar pilot schemes from BBSRC & NERC. Andrew can help broker relationships with partners in industry, the public sector and charities, refine project ideas, advise on suitable funding sources, and assist with bid writing.

Weaving the rainbow of engaged research

Working with partners from all facets of society, from industry to communities, can enrich both the research itself and the outcomes and impacts that it leads to.  However, on the ground, many universities approach the support for engagement with different audiences/stakeholders/partners in radically different ways – sometimes with very little connection and entirely disparate terminologies.
