Christina Miller has over ten years’ experience working in Brussels and providing specialist advice to researchers and funding managers on their engagement in the EU programmes and evolving policies. Christina has been the Director of the UK Research Office (UKRO) since 2012. UKRO is European office of the UK Research Councils and delivers a subscription-based advisory service for research organisations (in the main UK HEIs) and provides National Contact Point services on behalf of the UK Government. The Office has a mission to maximise UK engagement in EU-funded research, innovation and higher education activities by acting as a facilitator between the research community, government and the EU institutions, and providing information, guidance and strategic advice on funding opportunities and associated European policies. Christina has a particular interest in demystifying the EU funding and policy landscape and has played lead role in the Office’s activities relating to the simplification of the Framework Programme, and supporting the research community to overcome barriers to participation.
